Introduction
This 10-day safari through Uganda and Rwanda offers a perfect balance of primate encounters, wildlife viewing, scenic landscapes, and cultural experiences. From the misty forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to the vibrant city life of Kigali and the savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, this journey is designed to showcase the very best highlights of both countries.
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Arrive at Kigali International Airport, where you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a short city orientation or relax after your journey in preparation for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Kigali City Tour & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Begin the day with a guided Kigali city tour, including the Kigali Genocide Memorial and local markets. Later, transfer to Volcanoes National Park, enjoying scenic views of Rwanda’s rolling hills and countryside along the way.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early briefing, head into the forest for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience. Trek through the dense vegetation to find a habituated gorilla family and spend one hour observing their fascinating behaviors in the wild.
Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking & Cultural Experience
Start your day with golden monkey tracking in the bamboo forests of Volcanoes National Park. In the afternoon, visit a cultural village to experience traditional Rwandan music, dance, and local lifestyle.
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Cross into Uganda and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The drive offers stunning views of the Virunga Mountains and surrounding landscapes, with opportunities for photography along the way.
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

Day 9: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Day 10: Return to Kigali – Departure
